Welcome fellow network marketer!
We’ve learned a great deal along our multilevel marketing (MLM) journey and decided it was time to summarize what we’ve learned that actually works in this wonderful industry.
Our first introduction to multilevel or network marketing was in the 1970’s when we were contacted by an acquaintance in Connecticut. He saw us as potential rising superstars for his team. It didn’t work out. We signed up and quickly discovered that our mindsets were firmly locked into of our traditional jobs in the education and corporate realms. Our lack of belief resulted in an initial short-term stint in network marketing. One very positive result of our first exposure was it opened the door to personal development tapes and books for us. We never stopped our personal growth from that point forward.
Our second introduction came many years later when Marge became a distributor for a high-end cosmetics company. She started the distributorship in Connecticut with the plan to use it to meet new people when we relocated to North Carolina. While she loved the products and the company, she found that she missed her teammates from Connecticut and found it was not as much fun working as a lone distributor in a new town.
A few years later we started using cards from an online greeting card company and ultimately became distributors. We had great success enrolling other professionals in the real estate industry at first, but then we over-complicated our marketing program overly complicated, which turned away potential distributors.
Today we’re budding coaches with a fairly new network marketing company, Team Beachbody, a new division of the highly successful, Beachbody, the number one home fitness company in the U.S. As Team Beachbody Coaches, we provide encouragement and support to anyone who wants to look and feel better with a healthy fitness and nutrition lifestyle. We’re finding that a lot of people are drawn to us and what we offer through Team Beachbody because their products are proven and we are products of the products with our own weight loss stories and dedication to daily fitness and nutrition regimens.
So we’ve been around the block and back and are now ready to pass on what we’ve learned about what works, and what does not.
